Same Tree
Problem
Given the roots of two binary trees p
and q
, write a function to check if they are the same or not.
Two binary trees are considered the same if they are structurally identical, and the nodes have the same value.
Constraints
- The number of nodes in both trees is in the range
[0, 100]
. -104 <= Node.val <= 104
Solution
The problem Same Tree
can be solved using a recursion. To note, implementations using recursion or stack performs a depth-first search and an implementation using queue performs a breadth-first search.
Implementation
/**
* Definition for a binary tree node.
* struct TreeNode {
* int val;
* TreeNode *left;
* TreeNode *right;
* TreeNode() : val(0), left(nullptr), right(nullptr) {}
* TreeNode(int x) : val(x), left(nullptr), right(nullptr) {}
* TreeNode(int x, TreeNode *left, TreeNode *right) : val(x), left(left), right(right) {}
* };
*/
class Solution
{
public:
bool isSameTree(TreeNode *p, TreeNode *q)
{
if (p == NULL || q == NULL)
return p == q;
return p->val == q->val && isSameTree(p->left, q->left) && isSameTree(p->right, q->right);
}
};
