session-basic
Enumeration
Reading app.py
reveals its mechanics.
- When first setup, session storage is created which contains admin session.
- On the index page, cookie
session_id
is used to check for a matching admin session storage. - User can view session storage details on the admin page.

Exploitation
Visiting the index page shows that we are currently not logged in as admin.
Accessing admin page reveals the admin session id.
I’ll modify the cookie session_id
to the value I just found at the admin page and visit index page once more.
Post Exploitation
After a successful exploitation, I’m able to view the flag.
